Through their well established and mutually beneficial partnerships Foodbank is are able to stretch every dollar donated into even more food; nationally on average they are able to turn every $1 donated into the equivalent of $5.80 worth of food to distribute to those in need.
Foodbank captures raw or bulk ingredients which might just be out of spec or surplus, but can be diverted to a charity with cooking facilities, such as a shelter, community kitchen or a dining hall.
With the major supermarkets voluntarily banning single use plastic bags Australia wide now, re-usable retail bags have become an essential item to have while shopping.
Single-use plastic bag consumption in Australia has reduced by over 80% following a ban by supermarkets, with a total of 1.5 billion plastic carry bags have been spared from landfills since the ban started. Every Australian state and territory has now taken action on the nation’s plastic addition by committing to phase out single-use plastic bags.
Qualmac is a key supplier of re-usable retail bags to some of the largest retailers in the Southern Hemisphere and we continue to offer greener, more planet friendly options for our customers, year on year, season on season.
Here at Qualmac, we meticulously inspect our supply chains from start to finish to guarantee we are not involved with or supporting practises which go against our principals, every step of the way.
Now more than ever, customers care not only about the value of products, but also about how those products are produced. Our dedication to responsible sourcing through a close working relationship with our suppliers helps to improve the quality of life of workers in sensitive industries and communities around the world.
By addressing human rights and other critical issues in our supply chain, we have established standards for our suppliers to follow when conducting business with us.
